about
... i swam
with a furious vision in my ears
the breath breathed into the ice
i swam to remember my body
rapture, to understand
to forget my grey matter
lost past Roman Sewers
to an older place
desperately grappling
between meditations
her fury
losing her rhythm
means losing her breath
means losing that very thin veil
water thick with fury
fury thick as love
ice crack like bell toll
her hand could be a million
forming but one act
Maile Colbert’s ‘moborosi’ is a mini album totaling around 30 minutes in length. It takes elements from numerous genres and influences, mixing them together to form a remarkably individual and coherent whole.
In terms of style, ‘moborosi’ can be seen as a bit of a departure for Twenty Hertz. Sounds that caress and then disrupt, suck you in and spit you back out, this work slowly draws you into its world and leads you to the simply beautiful final track ‘Blinding begin again’.
